Exhaust system


Application: Exhaust system is used to remove the exhaust gases from gas turbine engine and perform the following functions:
• reduce the engine noise to required health standards;
• reduce the concentration of harmful emissions into the atmosphere to required ecological standards due to dispersion at rated height in the area near the gas pumping unit;
• maintain the hydraulic resistance within limits required for normal engine operation.
 
Description: Exhaust duct includes:
• exhaust diffuser;
• sound suppression block;
• adapter block;
• exhaust pipe with cover;
• support.
Exhaust diffuser is used to gradually slow down the exhaust gas speed and serves as an intermediate link between the volute adapter and the sound suppression block. Diffuser is made in the form of three-side expanded case, with sound/heat insulating mats in the openings.

Exhaust sound suppressor maintains the acoustic pressure level to sanitary standards – max.80 dBa. Cased type sound suppressor with silencers inside has non-split construction.  Silencer is made in the form of case with acoustic insulators in the openings. From both sides the openings are covered with SS perforated sheets.  .
Adapter block is functionally made as a transition from rectangular-sectioned sound suppressor to circular-sectioned exhaust pipe. Load-carrying structure of the block serves to resist the weight and wind loads from exhaust pipe.

Exhaust pipe consists of two parts with bolted connection. The upper section has a protective shield over its edge to prevent the precipitations get directly into the exhaust channel.    
Support is made as a load-carrying structure including supporting platform installed on four legs.
Exhaust system has the stairs and maintenance platforms required by safety and health regulations.     
Exhaust sampling is possible due to design elements of the exhaust duct.
